media release: A collective of Wisconsin musicians unite on November 30, 2024 to honor the music of The Band’s iconic “Last Waltz” concert.

This unique tribute to The Band features a nine piece core band consisting of Madison musicians Alex White, Greg Schmitt (The People Brothers Band), Joe Burbach (The Grasshoppers), Jon Hoel (Better Yeti), Matt Williams (Steez), Adam Ginsberg (Jazz Hams), Steve Radtke (Nuggernaut), Chet Wells (Cruisin’ Round), Mitch Monson, and Bob Jacobson. This year’s event will also feature performances by local artists playing the songs of the guest musicians featured in the Last Waltz film. These will include Corey Mathew Hart as Bob Dylan, Keith White as Van Morrison, Cory Swadley as Neil Young, Joe Burbach as Dr. John, Jason Holman as Eric Clapton, and Troy Armbruster as Neil Diamond.

While the concert won't follow the Last Waltz film score precisely, it will include a full revue of The Band's music, as well as appearances from local musicians performing as the guests artists featured in the Last Waltz film.
