Winefred RT
Winefred RT has released a series of singles and EPs over the past year, and taken together it’s a stunning collection of folk and rock songs distilling heavy emotional weather; if these songs don’t make you feel something, you may want to visit a doctor. It’s a project of Zoe Bockhorst, who recently departed Madison for Chicago. The dark folk of the Spine Stealers and hushed Croix Du Nord are a perfect pair of Madison artists for this bill.
media release: Winefred RT is the indie folk project of Chicago-based artist Zoe Bockhorst. Her music draws heavily from the legacy of folk storytellers and is shaded with the perspective of city life. Winefred RT’s observational storytelling captures snapshots of complicated relationships alongside the quietly mundane.
After growing up in Milwaukee and spending five years in Madison, Winefred RT relocated to Chicago, where she is now recording her debut album.
