Kenneth Brown
Kenneth Brown, the star of the Home and Garden Network's (HGTV) reDesign, will be the keynote presenter at the Isthmus Green Day expo on April 26, 2008 at Monona Terrace. Known for eco-friendly design, Kenneth will divulge sustainable design secrets, eco-friendly redesign stories and the importance of environmentally friendly decorating.
One of Los Angeles' most sought-after interior designers, Kenneth has long been acclaimed for his ability to blend warm Southern hospitality with clean Southern California lines. Kenneth's unique creations reflect his belief that comfort holds the key to successful design, and his vision is shaped by the close relationships he nurtures with his clients. His work has been featured in numerous design publications around the world and he also stars in his own top-rated TV show, reDesign, on HGTV. reDesign will air throughout the month of April on Mondays at 11 am central time.
Kenneth also works diligently to make the planet a better, happier place via eco-friendly design. Always a fan of nature, Kenneth spent his childhood creating floor plans out of leaves and later studying microbiology at Louisiana State University. Currently, his essential aim is to produce places, products and services in a way that reduces use of non-renewable resources, minimizes environmental impact and relates people with the natural environment. Green Design is a reaction to global "environment crisis", crisis in large part caused by conventional design and industrial products, which disregard the risks and environmental impacts.
Recently named to the top 100 Designer's in America by House Beautiful and Western Interiors, his broad exposure and popularity led MSN.com to offer Kenneth the role of resident Interior Design Expert. In 2005, Oprah Winfrey's "O" magazine featured Kenneth on her Live Your Best Life Tour. Moving forward, Kenneth is currently developing several product lines as well as writing an interior design book series.
