Prof. Phil Townsend describes his vision for growing Madison's urban canopy (video)

This video was produced in concert with an article on developments affecting Madison's urban forest. It shows UW-Madison Prof. Phil Townsend pointing out features of these woods, and explaining his vision for its preservation and improvement. Students in Townsend's remote-sensing class have set out to collect data on the city's canopy.
