Michael Leland
Easter Cow
Today's image is titled Easter Cow and was photographed by Michael Leland.
At least one of the formerly ubiquitous bovines in CowParade Wisconsin that took over downtown Madison last summer continues to stand sentry in town. More than a year following its debut, this creation (called "Holstein Parade') has been put to work as a surrogate Easter Bunny, complete with a full basket of plastic eggs. Designed by Mary Heinze of Portage, the cow sold for $5,500 at the CowParade auction last autumn. Leland also took a second photo of the cow, a close-up of its new set of rabbit ears.
