press release: Edgewood College is pleased to invite Greater Madison to the next event in our School of Business Executive Speaker Series: Disparities in Healthcare in African-American Communities. This panel discussion will take place 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm, Thursday, February 22, 2018, in Anderson Auditorium. The event is free.
Healthcare experts will discuss how to improve healthcare disparities in the African-American community in infant mortality rates, mental health services, patient education, healthcare services, and more.
Panelists include Lisa Peyton-Caire, Founder and President of The Foundation for Black Women’s Wellness; Dr. Jasmine Zapata, MD, UW Health and Clinics; Claude Gilmore, Former COO with Community Health Systems, Inc.; Holly Klawitter, Lecturer in the School of Business and Coordinator for the MBA in Health Systems Leadership Program will serve as Moderator.
