press release: CMT On Tour Presents Jon Pardi's Lucky Tonight Tour
The Golden state native’s sophomore album California Sunrise (produced by Bart Butler) was recorded live with a seven-man band. A few standout tracks include “Out Of Style,” a song about a budding artist who moves to Music City and learns the secrets of songwriting. “Head Over Boots,” which begins with a shuffle groove was inspired by a real-life couple that Pardi saw waltzing across a Texas dancehall one night. “Dirt On My Boots” highlights Pardi’s sonic edginess and includes a funky, swaggering drum loop, a rock-like guitar lead and the combination of a melodic fiddle and a Gango (banjo/guitar hybid). Pardi’s vocal delivery sets him apart from the rest. It’s a confident, authoritative low baritone and he combines that with sounds that echo both the modern and traditional country soundscapes. Current single “Heartache On The Dance Floor” is Top 10-and-climbing on both Mediabase and Billboard Country Airplay charts. The story of the song is about a girl that captures a guy’s heart on the dance floor. He hopes to see her again, but can’t seem to find her. The West-Coast inspired music video was filmed in Venice Beach.
