Eerie Tales: Madison Ghost Walks
When: Tuesday, October 27, 2015 - 7:00pm
Madison Ghost Walks was founded on the notion that every town has a certain kind of history and folklore worth knowing. Founder Mike Huberty believes that the shared “haunted history” of a place makes for a more exciting and deeper relationship with the community. Huberty, a Madison musician, researched 19th century newspapers, books by Wisconsin authors, and also interviewed people who live and work in these haunted locales today to hear about experiences firsthand. Currently in its fifth season, Madison Ghost Walks has been featured in Isthmus, Madison magazine, NBC Channel15 and WTDY 1670 AM. A member of Madison Ghost Walks will do a presentation covering the locations experienced on the walk.
This event is part of the series Eerie Tales: a Glance Back and a Look Ahead at Horror Fiction.
Eerie Tales: a Glance Back and a Look Ahead at Horror Fiction is a Beyond the Page funded grant series held at eight participating Dane County libraries.
