The legendary Detroit-based label launched the careers of artists like Marvin Gaye, Michael Jackson and Diana Ross, and the story of its inception is the basis for an acclaimed musical that was nominated for four Tony Awards. Fans of the genre — or just fans of good music in general — shouldn’t miss this one.
