The Hunger Games

The quiet blockbuster based on Suzanne Collins' dystopian novel follows a teenager (Jennifer Lawrence) who enters a ritual competition in which all but one participant must die. The film's best moments showcase Lawrence's low-key ferocity. PG-13, 2012.
