The Madison DJ trio Dirty Disco Kidz just completed a two-week tour of the Dominican Republic. Between shows, they played with snakes, met girls on the beach and beatboxed with the locals. You can see it all in the "Dirty Disco Kidz Dominican Antics" video on YouTube. DDK's welcome-home show is Saturday, March 19, 9 p.m., at the Orpheum Stage Door.
Sunspot, Madison's most dedicated touring rock band, plays three Austin shows as part of South by Southwest this weekend. They'll be home March 26 to celebrate an EP release at the Frequency.
Blast House has assembled a CD/DVD package capturing 17 songs and five videos made at the Madison recording studio in 2010. The formidable list of local artists includes Projection People, Tret Fure, Whitney Mann and A Minute Jack Forum.
