For some 40 years, architect Kenton Peters has promoted a concept for creating a park over John Nolen Drive, Joe Tarr reported in last week’s Isthmus. Proponents say such a park would help link downtown Madison to Lake Monona, spur development and create a space anyone can enjoy. Although it’s an idea that lots of people love, it’s yet to get much traction here. That may be changing as Peters gives the proposal yet another push.
