Madison's baseball Mallards get new stadium seats this year, so it will no longer be an endurance test to watch the Ducks through nine innings. Still no retractable roof, though. The team plays in the Northwoods League (which consists of college players who do this for the love of the game - no salary!) against teams from Wisconsin, Iowa, Michigan and Ontario. Tickets usually go fast.

June 10: Bobbleheads featuring the new, feistier Maynard (first 1,000). June 17: Music by the Kissers! July 3: Dog day at the ballpark, all four-legged canine friends are welcome. July 10: Tailgating Maynard Bobblehead (first 1,000). July 22: "Leave It to Beaver" Night featuring Ken Osmond (a.k.a Eddie Haskell). July 23: Madison Muskies caps (first 1,000). July 24: Millie Mallard in Pink Bobbleheads (first 1,000). August 11: Vegetarian Food Appreciation Night (after the wiener, bacon and burger appreciation nights, it's only fair) and in-game entertainent provided by the Inflatamaniacs. August 14: MLB/Mallards Alumni Game featuring Pete Rose! Rose will begin signing autographs at 3:05 p.m. (one item per fan). And don't forget post-game fireworks on Saturday nights and post-game kids-can-run-the-bases Sundays.
