Menus will tend to host many of the same dishes. Of course not even a grilled cheese sandwich is "the same" from place to place. But some eateries will highlight a standard by bestowing on it a local name. It's a fun way to do a little more eating local.

Madison's Indie Coffee rules Regent Street
Proximity obviously has a lot to do with which coffee houses we'll frequent. For people who are passionate about coffee, the coffee itself will override proximity. And then, there are coffee houses that appeal to us for other, more ineffable reasons.
