Sad news for fans of the popular vegetarian food cart The Dandelion. Chef-owner Braulio Maximiliano will not be vending this year and both his food carts are for sale.
Yes, both carts: Last year, Maximiliano invested in a brand new cart. He also spent time over the winter trying to establish his own restaurant at 141 S. Butler St., formerly Cafe Costa Rica. His wife, Tara Maximiliano, confirms that they just got in a little over their heads.
"In life, there are things I want to do," says Braulio, "and the things I need to do." At this time, he says, "I need to move forward." As to whether Braulio might continue to cater, that's still up in the air, says Tara.
