"What can I say - she's great," Madison Mayor Paul Soglin says of Wanda Fullmore in a brief profile of the longtime receptionist in the mayor's office. Soglin tells Isthmus news editor Bill Lueders he takes tremendous credit for having the good sense to hire Fullmore in 1976, during his first stint as mayor. Soglin aide Roberta Gassman notes that Fullmore's 15-year tenure as mayoral receptionist has made her "one of the most knowledgeable people in city government." Mayoral secretary Holly Baggot concurs: "There's many times when faced with a particular problem I say, 'Wanda, who do I call?'" Fullmore, who's still on duty, has now worked for six mayoral administrations: Soglin 1, Joel Skornicka, Joe Sensenbrenner, Soglin 2, Sue Bauman and current Madison Mayor Dave Cieslewicz.
