Blue drifts
Today's image is titled Blue drifts and was photographed by Karen Darcy.
She describes the photo, taken in the midst of last weekend's winter storm: "30-40 mph winds blew the seven-plus inches of snow we received. In my front yard I could see grass and drifts higher than four feet. The wind also blew paths on top of the frozen lake. Oddly enough, there wasn't a speck of snow on my deck."
Are you ready for another round, this time with ice, rain and snow? More details are available in a short-term forecast from the National Weather Service.
