A message from OutReach: Dear LGBTQ+ Community Members:

OutReach LGBT Community Center has been closely monitoring the recommendations of elected officials, public health institutions, and other organizations concerning the response to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) worldwide pandemic.

To protect the health of our clients, volunteers, and staff we have made the following decisions effective immediately:

• OutReach’s public educational programs have been cancelled through April
• The social and support groups held at our offices will be postponed until furthernotice.
• Our offices will remain open noon to 7 pm weekdays for calls, online assistance and walk-ins

The main symptoms of COVID-19 infection are fever, coughing, and difficulty breathing. If you experience these symptoms, call your doctor. Isolate yourself as much as possible. Inform people you interact with of your illness.

Please follow these recommendations from the CDC to prevent the spread of the virus:

• Wash hands frequently with soap and water or alcohol-based hand rub
• Cover nose and mouth when coughing and sneezing with tissue or flexed elbow
• Avoid close contact with people (3 feet minimum)
• Avoid touching your face, especially your eyes and mouth
• Avoid group settings as much as possible

OutReach will continue to monitor the response to the pandemic and update our policies as needed.
