“When I get to heaven I'm gonna shake God's hand,” John Prine wrote in his song “When I Get to Heaven.” (Shortly thereafter, the speaker starts a band in the afterlife.) Sadly Prine succumbed to COVID-19 in the early weeks of the pandemic. As singer/songwriters go, he was the ultimate, both an appealing performer and a knockout tunesmith and lyricist. His younger brother Billy Prine, a longtime country and folk performer in his own right, performs this tribute show to John.
