Outings are free, fun, family friendly, and educational. No registration required, no pets. Wear a face mask and comfortable hiking shoes and clothing appropriate for the weather. Join Master Naturalist Alex Singer for a fun and educational family friendly nature walk at Aldo Leopold Nature Center and Edna Taylor Park to look for and learn about interesting bugs! The amazing variety of insects and arthropods that live on plants, in the soil, and in the air are the most numerous and diverse of critters, each occupying different habitat niches and performing different ecological functions. Use a guidebook or app like Seek to help you identify and learn about different bugs you see and post your observations on iNaturalist!
