System Exclusive (CA) – System Exclusive (or SysEx if you sassy) are a dynamic synth-punk duo originally from San Francisco, California, USA, weaving a wall of sound out of two people and limited resources: a guitar, drums, a stack of miniature keyboards, and Ari's towering yet vulnerable alto. Matt, well versed in the dark arts of MIDI, plays live drums along with his panoply of synth modules, creating driving new wavey soundscapes for Ari to slash post punk guitar and smear dramatic vocals upon. The results have taken them all over the world, with 150 shows in 13 countries last year alone. They're touring the US for the first time in support of their sophomore LP, "Click", released on Mt St Mtn in the US (in conjunction with Le Cepe Records out of Paris) this past May. They've been overseas grinding the UK and EU tour circuits since the release, throwing comfort and good financial sense to the wind in their eternal quest for the perfectly bittersweet synth pop bop. Riding high on Spotify royalty checks and grown strong off of a steady diet of cured meats and backstage hummus, they return to America for their second US tour of 2024, this time with their LP "Click" in hand.
