The choreographers in (Be)Longing have cultural and technical backgrounds that range from Classical Indian fusion to Flamenco, Contemporary Ballet to Middle Eastern Dance, American Modern/Contemporary and more. These seemingly disparate forms come together, through collaboration, around the theme of Home being something we create together, and that the Isthmus Dance Collective is in many ways a home we have created together. It has been a source of trust, support, inspiration, community, friendship, professional development, innovation, experimentation, equity, inclusion, and more.

It’s hard to put into words how much of a lifeline the Isthmus Dance Collective has been to not only our membership, but also dance artists in the area and the general public.

We invite you, our cherished Madison Friends and Neighbors, to the MYArts Sunrise Theater in February 2025 to celebrate our collective brilliance - the communal beauty that we're continually creating as citizens of Madison. No performance is complete without an audience, but this one will not be complete without YOU.
