King Kazoo (aka Jay Bragg).
Here’s a little something different for the holidays. In “A Songwriter's Christmas,” King Kazoo (the alter ego of songwriter Jay Bragg) & the Reindeer Band brings a warmhearted, folk-based approach to what can get old after the last three months of PA-system Xmas tunes in stores. The show features some classics but also new Christmas songs full of good cheer, like the timely “Drama-Free Christmas.” An EP of holiday material has also just been released. A portion of the profits will be donated to the Madison Area Music Association (MAMA). With Lost Lakes.
"A Songwriter's Christmas." $15 ($12 adv.).
media release: Founded by New England-bred and Nashville based songwriter and bandleader Jay Bragg in 2020, A Songwriter’s Christmas has become a holiday tradition all over the country over the last four years. Curated to be a fun and interactive alternative to the standard holiday concert recycling the same old songs, A Songwriter's Christmas showcases new and original Christmas music and stories (in addition to some of the classics we all love) written by Bragg and his songwriter friends.
The concert will also be the world premiere of King Kazoo & The Reindeer Band - the North Pole based band of joy commissioned by Santa Claus himself to spread an extra dose of Christmas cheer all year. King Kazoo & The Reindeer Band’s debut Christmas EP is now available on all streaming platforms.
Presented by the philanthropic Gift of Music Project and keeping with the giving spirit of the holiday season, a portion of ticket sales will be allocated to giving gifts of musical instruments to children living from low income families for Christmas.
