Imagine having every stranger you meet immediately fall in love with you, but being too depressed to do anything about it. Such is the case for Tilly, the heroine of Melancholy Play: A Contemporary Farce. But then, one day, Tilly finds herself inexplicably happy, and the emotional shift wreaks havoc on the lives of her suitors. Produced by the Kathie Rasmussen Women’s Theatre, the play is written by Tony-award winner and Pulitzer finalist Sarah Ruhl and directed by Emily Morrison Weeks. Through Aug. 19.
