N95 & KN95 Mask Distribution

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Dane County started to distribute over 200,000, N95 & KN95 face masks as Dane County Covid-19 cases soared. In only a week the organization has:
• Distributed over 200,000 N95 and KN95 masks to youth, individuals, community non-profits and grassroots organizations through Dane County and beyond
• KN95 youth masks are no longer available
• Worked in partnership with volunteers from F.O.S.T.E.R.S, Black Men Coalition of Dane County, Briar Patch, SELU, and more to organize and distribute masks. BGCDC President and CEO Michael Johnson, shared, “The help from these organizations has been invaluable to the success of our mask distribution efforts. We thank our community partners for their ongoing support in this tremendous success.”
Due to the extreme weather conditions forecast for Thursday and Friday, Boys & Girls Clubs of Dane County is our plan to distribute the remaining N95 masks to the community. Jan 19, will be our last day distributing masks to individuals.
Organizations can still register for masks at maskrequests@bgcdc.org and pick-up masks at the Boys & Girls Clubs Administrative offices. (Individual masks will not be distributed.)

We are also encouraging community members to take advantage of opportunities recently announced by the federal government:
• Individuals can request 4 free individual Covid tests per residential address. Request here: http://covidtests.gov/
• Starting late next week masks will be made available at pharmacies and community health centers that have partnered with the federal government's COVID-19 vaccination campaign
