media release: With ten albums under his belt, Wisco-Kentuckian acoustic roots rocker Ritt Deitz returns to North Street Cabaret with his son Wilder Deitz.
Madison’s Isthmus said Ritt “resembles Tom Waits in his ability to marry sophistication with down-homeness.” Fort Thomas, KY house concert series Parlor and Patio called the father-son duo’s sound “rivers of harmony.’
Wilder grew up touring the Midwest and Southeast with his dad in various small groups, along with his own soul– and jazz-based projects, and is the founding director of the Wilder Deitz School for Creative Music in Madison.
Ritt and Wilder will play songs from both their catalogues, including several from their upcoming release, TRANSIENTS AND STRANGERS.
Folk duo duo Host of Sparrows open the show.
