Wisconsin Dept. of Transportation Meeting
Public meeting scheduled for WIS 69, Belleville
The Wisconsin Department of Transportation will hold a second public involvement meeting for the pavement replacement of WIS 69 (River Street) between WIS 92 and County D in the Village of Belleville. The meeting will be held Wednesday, February 24 from 5-6:30 p.m. at the Belleville Village Hall, 24 W. Main Street.
The meeting will be an open house format. Representatives from the Wisconsin Department of Transportation will be available to discuss and answer questions. A short presentation will begin at 5:15 p.m.
The project work includes removal and reconstruction of the concrete roadway, curb and gutter and base material. Spot repairs and a concrete overlay to the bridge over the Sugar River will also be completed. The Village of Belleville is planning for replacement of the water main within the project limits. The project will require temporary and permanent right-of-way acquisition. Real estate representatives will be present to discuss impacts with property owners.
The project is currently scheduled for construction in 2018. Due to the poor condition of the existing pavement, WisDOT is evaluating whether funding is available to advance the project to allow construction to occur in 2017. A decision regarding the construction year is anticipated in late 2016.
