Capital's award-winning brews, hard seltzers, and ciders are on tap in the Bier Garten and Stube. Live music in the Bier Garten every Friday, and some Thursdays and Saturdays from mid-May to mid-October. Food vendors are on site most Fridays during the summer season. Patrons can bring food or have it delivered. No beverage carry-ins. Capital has no regular in-house food service at the brewery. Pretzels etc. are available. See website and Facebook for updates.

The Middleton-based brewery announced Thursday that Ashley Kinart has been promoted to brewmaster. She is the first woman to hold the position in a Dane County craft brewery and is among only a few female brewmasters across Wisconsin.

Beer Here: Fishin' in the Dark from Capital Brewery
Who says dark brews aren't for summer? For anybody who might think such beers are too heavy for hot weather, a new release from Capital Brewery challenges those assumptions. Fishin' in the Dark, created by assistant brewer Ashley Kinart, is a classic German lager known as a schwarzbier. Labeled "imperial" as a nod to its strength and firm favor, it's a good catch for craft beer fans.
