Fair Trade Coffee House

Fair Trade retains the spirit of some of the original coffeehouses on State Street with local art on the walls in monthly displays and a hideaway back room (and almost-secret back patio). Coffee is all fair-trade-certified. Bagels and pastries are augmented by quiche, organic spring mix salads, a half-dozen some sandwiches with vegan options, soups, sweet bars and cheesecakes. We like the Californian, with avocado, tomato, pesto and provolone - a State Street classic despite the Pacific name.
