Concert announcements are rolling in as the cold weather rolls out. Americana singer-songwriter Chris Mills will drop by the High Noon Saloon on June 26. The East Side Club will present a double bill of melancholy minimalist Jessica Lea Mayfield and Aussie indie rockers An Horse on June 30, facing stiff competition from Rubblebucket's fusion of world music and experimental indie-pop, which the Majestic Theatre's showcasing for free the same night. Sonic Youth fans eagerly await Thurston Moore's appearance at the High Noon on July 16. While he's not giving any interviews for his new album, Demolished Thoughts, he will play its songs and perhaps share a few thoughts in between. Then, former Mekons drummer Jon Langford and Silos frontman Walter Salas-Humara will return to the Frequency on July 21.
