Copies of Isthmus stacked on loading dock.
The average bill for printing 35,000 copies of the monthly newspaper is $7,500.
In the world of nonprofit journalism, today is big. What’s become known as Giving Newsday is an opportunity for you to directly help us inform and engage Madison readers!
Our goal today is simple: Before midnight, raise enough money to print one monthly issue of the paper.
The average printing bill for an issue of Isthmus is about $7,500. That doesn’t include paying our staff, freelance writers, photographers, artists, designers or delivery drivers. It just covers the paper and ink, and delivery of 35,000 copies to our loading dock.
With donations up to $1,000 made between Nov. 1 and Dec. 31 are TRIPLED thanks to matching funds from NewsMatch, the Loud Hound Foundation, Isthmus’ board of directors and a growing group of community leaders, we can pay for one printing bill if we raise $2,500 before midnight.
Will you help us hit that goal?
