The PS3 version of EA's Fight Night: Round 3 isn't significantly different from the other versions. I was hoping it might work out some of the sound and graphics glitches that marred an otherwise impressive game, but no dice.
One nice addition is the "Get in the Ring" mode. You can select a fighter, an opponent and a venue to get in a quick match. The mode has a first-person perspective, giving the game a touch of realism. (Your peripheral vision actually blurs as you take more and more shots to the head.) What's more, you can play from this first-person perspective in any of the game's other modes.
There's an absurd amount of in-game advertising, including the Burger King mascot as a ring man. What's next - the Geico gecko against the Travelocity gnome?
