Adam: A young New Yorker (Hugh Dancy) with Asperger's syndrome faces struggles in life and love. There are interesting insights into a mysterious disorder, but the tone is a little pedantic.
Lorna's Silence: In a complicated scheme, an ambivalent Albanian woman (Arta Dobroshi) plots against her husband of convenience (Jérémie Renier), a Belgian junkie. There's no shortage of tough-talking thugs, but the Dardenne brothers' unsettling, very controlled crime movie keeps spilling over, satisfyingly, into melodrama.
