"I've seen Josh play a lot, especially lately, and I've always been pretty effusive in my praise of his songwriting, charm and especially guitar playing," notes Madison music writer Kiki Schueler. She is referring to Josh Harty, a local singer-songwriter who performed at the High Noon Saloon a week ago on Wednesday, Feb. 28 along with Leeroy Stagger and Matt Hopper.
Schueler continued in her praise of the show at the High Noon, and updated her report for The Daily Page about Harty's recent brief tour in Ireland:
He only played seven, maybe eight, songs but it was truly a-maz-ing. The songs he chose were certainly among his most impressive, the ones that show off his staggering skill best. Maybe he was encouraged by the fact that he recently became "an international superstar" following a very successful show in Ireland. Even though my time in Ireland overlapped with his, I had to leave before the big show. Though reports vary, there were as many as 150-200 people there, some driving from 50 miles away after reading the story in the Nenagh Guardian.
She also shot several videos at the show, including a live concert video of Harty performing "Too Much on My Mind," that follows below.
