Today's image is titled Marshall Park on the western shores of Lake Mendota. As described by the city: "In December of 1956, the City of Madison purchased 27 acres of land on the west side of Lake Mendota from Dr. George J. Maloof. This was the beginning of Marshall Park."
Named for the first Parks Superintendent, Marshall Park has one of the major boat launches on the biggest of our Four Lakes. It is also one of ten locations in the city that provides for year-round outdoor boat storage.
