This photo shows the terminus of "Memorial Mile," a display commemorating the more than 4,000 members of the U.S. Armed Forces who have been killed while serving in Iraq and Afghanistan. Rows upon rows of faux tombstones were erected in Olbrich Park on the east side of Madison last Sunday in advance of Memorial Day in a display organized by is the primary source for Madison Snaps, which are published here with the permission of individual contributors.
