Today's image is titled Master Painter and was photographed by Alex Gaylon.
This photo shows a chalk artist working on the sidewalk of Library Mall, and was photographed on Oct. 6. The artist in question is Seth Sanders, who is working on an image of Johannes Vermeer's masterwork "Head of Girl," also known as Girl with a Pearl Earring. There are more photos of Sanders at work on his Vermeer homage as published by Ann Althouse, along with another in a June 2002 newsletter published by the UW Libraries system. More of Sanders work is currently on the walls at Frida restaurant on the 100 block of State Street.
