Today's image is titled Neon Humanities and was photographed by Kristian Knutsen.
This vertical maze of green, blue and violet neon was one of the student art installations featured at the UW's Arts Night Out on the evening of Saturday, Sept. 30. This particular work was located along a stairwell on the west face of the George Mosse Humanities Building, and was created by students from the UW Glass Lab, which describes itself as "the oldest full-time university glass program in the United States." This was only one installation of several originally scheduled for display, but this was the only one ready that evening due to a delay caused by the rainy conditions. One of the artists said that this would remain up for at least a few days, so it still might be possible to see it in person.
