Jazz legend McCoy Tyner and his trio performed at the Wisconsin Union Theatre on Friday, Oct. 6, leading the way in the new Isthmus Jazz Series scheduled for the campus venue over this academic year. Tyner was profiled by Susan Kepecs in the same day's edition of Isthmus, who described his music as "intimate, stripped-down, pure jazz." Talbot published a set of five photos -- including shots of McCoy, his drummer and his bassist -- from Friday's performance at the Union Theatre.
