twilight
Today's image is titled twilight and was photographed by Beth McConnell.
Shot on the road between Baraboo and Madison yesterday evening, this photo shows a waxing gibbous moon ascending from the horizon. As dusk falls tonight, September 26, the satellite will be fully illuminated. Being that this full moon falls only a few days after the autumnal equinox, it is also the proverbial Harvest moon, that well-known sign of the changing seasons.
