In addition to offering a warm break from a blistering cold walk from the gym to the coffee shop where I conduct my Sconzzery, the Capitol is an interesting place to stroll through these days. Perhaps because state reps have become accustomed to such scant coverage of state politics, they often speak without concern of unwanted listeners.
Today, however, the main source of amusement was the drive way, where I noticed a minivan with the license plate "My Wood." What could that possibly mean? The car also had a "DEM" bumper sticker and one for the University of Minnesota.
The other cars in the drive way were uninteresting, except for one equipped with a "Drill Baby, Drill!" bumper sticker. I looked through the window, hoping for evidence of a lawmaker. But all I saw was NOW Country Volume 3.
I will definitely make bumper sticker watching a daily routine from now on.
