Equipped with a beard and leather jacket that perhaps belies his roots as a United Autoworkers activist, Former Assembly Speaker Mike Sheridan told The Sconz that Scott Walker has made "a big mistake" by seeking to strip public workers of collective bargaining rights, and said that the governor's budget repair bill gives people the opportunity to see the difference between Democrats and Republicans.
Sheridan, who represented the Janesville area in the Assembly for six years, was one of the most surprising victims of the Republican wave last November, a loss he attributed partly to the departure of thousands of unemployed auto workers from the district.
