Although I'll be gone most of this upcoming week (going to visit the little bro in Seattle), the new radio show I am producing on WTDY will go on. In the first two weeks we've already had a number of great guests on the show, including Mayor Dave, UW Chancellor Biddy Martin, Sen. Fred Risser, Rep. Mark Pocan and Wisconsin Film Fest Director Meg Hamel.
As much as we love the high-profile guests, we'd also like to hear from The People of Sconz Nation who will be affected by the budget repair bill. I would be most interested in knowing:
a) how much you make per year or per hour?
b) how much you will be paying for health care and your pension?
c) how you will cope with the pay cut?
d) has it made you consider quitting?
e) do you believe there are jobs available to you in the private sector where you could earn the same or more as you do in the public sector?
You can email your story, either to me (jcraver@isthmus.com) or to Kurt (kurt@wtdy.com). Next week Kurt will try to do a short profile of a different person everyday.
Follow The Sconz on Twitter or Facebook to get regular updates on city and state politics. Tune in to the radio show everyday between 10-11 a.m. on 1670 AM WTDY. Please send anonymous tips, interview requests or any other comments to jcraver@isthmus.com.
