Considering how furious Tea Party activists proclaim to be about the "bailout," the enormous loans given to large banks that likely saved the U.S. economy, I am just waiting for them to show up the Capitol lawn in protest of the corporate welfare Gov. Scott Walker has made a priority that is second only to busting unions and killing public transportation.
Governor Scott Walker announced today that Catalyst Exhibits, Inc., Pleasant Prairie, Kenosha County, will receive a $500,000 loan from the Community Development Block Grant-Economic Development (CDBG-ED) program of the Department of Commerce (Commerce) to relocate its operation from Illinois to Pleasant Prairie.
And another one...
Governor Scott Walker today announced that Stoughton Trailers, LLC in Rock County, will receive a $750,000 loan from the Community Development Block Grant-Economic Development Program administered by the Department of Commerce (Commerce). The funds will be used by the company for equipment and training at their soon-to-be-reopened Evansville facility.
Bribe companies to either move here or stay here. Doyle did it and now Walker's doing it. It's the Wisconsin way. But it's not supposed to be the Tea Party way.
