Ripped from the Preamble to the U.S. Constitution, "To Establish Justice" is the theme for "A More Perfect Union," the Wisconsin Humanities Council's book-based exploration of American ideals and policies.
Among this year's presenters for "A More Perfect Union": Anthony Grooms, author of the novel Bombingham; Jonathan Harr, author of A Civil Action, which won a National Book Critics Award for nonfiction; Marge Piercy, the prolific poet and author of the historical novel Sex Wars; and Chaplain James J. Yee, a West Point graduate and convert to Islam whose first book, For God and Country, won New America Media's Exceptional Communicator Award.
