Much like Madison's Greenbush neighborhood, Milwaukee's Bronzeville was once a thriving community populated by African-Americans and neighbors representing a range of ethnicities and religious beliefs. But like Madison's Greenbush, Milwaukee's Bronzeville was eventually decimated by misguided urban renewal initiatives that razed the neighborhood and dispersed its residents.
