With no more than his voice and a banjo, blues musician William Elliott Whitmore evokes a powerful sense of American struggle. And, having toured with acts like Modern Life Is War and Converge, he might just be the only banjo-toting troubadour with a fan base in the hardcore punk scene.
Whitmore visited the Isthmus office on April 17 for a live acoustic performance before his concert that night at the Majestic Theatre. A video excerpt of "Civilizations" is above.
