In addition to football, falling leaves, Homecoming and Halloween, October in Madison is also marked by the Great Midwest Marijuana Harvest Festival. More colloquially known as the Madison HempFest or Harvest Fest and located on Library Mall at the west end of State Street, the two-day event features music, food, vendors, and pro-cannabis politics.
This year's entertainment offerings at the festival included the debut of Rearick & The ManSisters, who performed the song "Circular Reasoning" atop the Library Mall stage on the afternoon of Saturday, Oct. 7.
The live from Library Mall music video follow below.
Rearick & The ManSisters is the latest band led by east-side musician and political activist Stephanie Rearick. The group also features her husband Jon Hain, with whom she owns Mother Fool's Coffeehouse on Willy Street and Uvulittle Records, the Madison-based label responsible for releasing this video. More information about the Madison HempFest is available from its MySpace page.
