Political marches along State Street are very well-known and well-practiced event in Madison. Most are long-organized and heavily-promoted affairs, intended to draw numbers in support of or opposition to a particular issue, and are usually preceded or followed by a rally at either terminus of the street. Rarer, or at least lower in profile are impromptu demonstrations featuring very few persons. Yet it's protests like these that do more than anything to augment the Madison's reputation as a very publicly political place.
One short video depicts one such march, which occurred around 8 pm on the evening of Saturday, Sept. 30 as noted by the videographer. This particular display consisted of four persons carrying a banner declaring, "Impeach George Bush!" while walking west along the 400 block of State Street. "The only thing I can say is that they are my heroes," writes the videographer.
The very brief video follows below.
