Cargin is one of Madison's busiest performing drummers, working in the studio and on stage with everyone from country singer Whitney Mann to his own pop group, Blueheels. Now he's taking his passion for old kits as well as his skills as a techie, and providing a niche business to local and touring professionals making their way through the Midwest. A website slated to go live this week, williamsonstreetdrumworks.com, will have contact info, prices and photographs of Cargin's beautiful wares.
The Williamson Street Drum Works is a place to buy that mint-condition 1956 Ludwig snare, but it's also a place to have your own snare refurbished, or to rent an entire backline. Just don't expect Cargin to have a place for you to sit when you visit. Unless it's a drum stool.
